Refund and Returns Policy

(For Consumer Orders and Wholesale Orders)

Before reading the details, here is a quick overview:

Consumer orders and wholesale or bulk orders follow different return and refund rules.
Both sets of terms are included on this page for clarity and transparency.

  • Consumer Returns Policy applies to individual customers purchasing for personal use.
  • Wholesale, Bulk, and Trade Orders Policy applies to any order of 5 or more copies, or any order placed for resale.
  • Items produced specifically to order, including clothing, accessories and drinkware, are nonreturnable unless faulty.
  • Wholesale and bulk orders are firm sale and nonreturnable except for damaged or defective items.

1. Consumer Returns and Refunds

(For individual customers buying for personal use)

We want you to enjoy your purchase from The Mindful Explorer.
We follow UK consumer protection laws, and the policy below works alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.


1.1 Your 14 day cooling off period

If you buy online, you normally have the right to change your mind within 14 days of receiving your order.
You then have another 14 days to return it.

However, the law allows exceptions for certain items, which are listed below.


1.2 Items that are made to order (including clothing and drinkware)

Many of our products, including clothing, totes, drinkware, and other printed items, are produced specifically for your order.

Because these items are created individually once you place your order, they are:

  • nonreturnable
  • nonrefundable
  • not eligible for change-of-mind or size-related returns

unless they arrive damaged or faulty.

To help with sizing, all clothing product pages include measurements.
Please check these carefully before ordering.

This exemption is permitted under consumer law for goods made to order or clearly personalised.


1.3 Standard change of mind returns (30 days)

For items that are not made to order:

  • Return within 30 days
  • Must be unused and in original condition
  • Return postage is your responsibility
  • Shipping costs cannot be refunded
  • Refunds are issued once the return is checked and approved

1.4 Damaged, faulty, or incorrect items

If anything arrives damaged or not as expected, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Photos of the issue
  • Your order number

We will offer a replacement, repair, or refund in line with your statutory rights.

This applies to all items, including made-to-order items.


1.5 Nonreturnable items (unless faulty)

The following cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Made-to-order items (clothing, drinkware, totes, accessories)
  • Personalised or customised items
  • Digital downloads
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or used

2. Wholesale, Bulk, and Trade Orders

(For orders of 5 or more copies, or any order placed for resale)

We love working with bookshops, schools, and organisations.
Because wholesale and bulk quantities are produced specifically for your order, these purchases follow different terms from consumer sales.

By placing a wholesale, bulk, or trade order, you agree to the policy below.


2.1 Firm sale terms

All wholesale, bulk, and trade orders are firm sale.

This means:

  • No returns due to overordering or unsold stock
  • No cancellations once production has begun
  • No refunds unless an item is damaged or defective

2.2 Nonreturnable orders

Wholesale and bulk quantities are prepared specifically for your order and are nonreturnable.
The only exception is items that arrive damaged or defective.


2.3 Damaged or defective items

If any items arrive damaged:

  • Notify us within 7 days
  • Include photos and quantities affected

Replacements will be provided at no cost.
Refunds are not issued for damaged items in wholesale orders.


2.4 Shipping costs

  • We do not cover shipping for unwanted or refused wholesale stock
  • Shipping for approved replacements is covered
  • Returns of wholesale orders are not accepted unless items are damaged

2.5 Risk and ownership

Risk transfers to the buyer upon delivery.
Unsold or surplus stock remains the responsibility of the buyer.


2.6 Payment terms

Wholesale and bulk orders must be paid in full before production unless agreed otherwise.

Placing a wholesale, bulk, or trade order confirms acceptance of this policy.
